In the past 20 years of operations, the Palace-on-Wheels has been rated as one of the best ten luxurious rail journeys in the world.
It offers a 7 night/8 day journey and travels from Delhi to Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Agra.

The Palace on Wheels boasts 14 fully air-conditioned deluxe coaches or saloons. The names of the saloons are based on the princely states of Rajasthan - Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Bundi, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Kota, Sirohi, and Udaipur. Each coach has 4 cabins attached to it with the facilities like ath & shower, H/C water supply, attached modern toilets, channel music, intercom, satellite phones, wall to wall carpeting and many more. It has two well-maintained restaurants cum kitchen cars. A separate beautiful lounge car is attached to the Palace on Wheels, providing peaceful ambience to passengers to relax.
